We started Mountain Man Firewoods with one truck, a splitter and a simple idea: sell properly seasoned hardwood, measure it honestly, and treat every driveway like it belongs to a neighbor.
Who we are

Mountain Man Firewoods is a small, family-run firewood business based in the high country of Riverside County, between Anza and the Pines to Palms Highway. We cut, split, season and deliver oak hardwood and oak/cedar mix to homes from Idyllwild to Temecula, and we stock seasoned oak bundles at Mr. Happy’s Mercantile in Anza for anyone who just needs a night’s worth.
Up here, firewood is not a luxury. A lot of our neighbors heat with a wood stove all winter, and the difference between a properly seasoned cord of oak and a damp pile of mystery wood is the difference between a warm house and a smoky one. That is the standard we hold ourselves to.

Four things you can count on.
Seasoned, not just split
We do not sell green wood as seasoned. Our oak is dried until it lights clean and burns hot, because a smoky, hissing fire is the fastest way to lose a customer.
Measured by the cord
California requires firewood to be sold by the cord or a fraction of a cord, and we think that is exactly right. You will never hear us quote a "truckload".
Local crew, local roads
We live up here. We know which driveways need a smaller truck, when Highway 74 has chain controls, and how cold a Garner Valley night gets in January.
Straight prices
One price list for everyone, posted online, with free delivery in our service area. No deposit and no surprise fees at the driveway.
